Blackburn Empire Theatre
The evening offers an informal chance to meet the cast and production team, take part in a relaxed sing-through of the show, and enjoy a free buffet.
Principal auditions will take place on Sunday 16 November at 4pm at The Mill Hill Hotel, Blackburn (BB2 2QY).
Rehearsals start on Tuesday 18 November, continuing weekly until 9 December, before resuming in the New Year.
A spokesperson for the Society said:
“Our productions bring together people of all ages who love music, theatre and a sense of community. Patience is one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s most charming and witty works, and it’s the perfect time for new members to get involved.”
Founded in 1950, the Blackburn Gilbert & Sullivan Society has entertained local audiences for decades with lively performances of the duo’s much-loved operettas, including The Mikado, The Pirates of Penzance and H.M.S. Pinafore.
The 2026 production of Patience promises more of the same — colourful costumes, witty lyrics, and a talented local cast.
