The campaign is designed to raise awareness of everyday habits and local services that can help people age well, with the message that every year should feel like a good one.
The Council’s Public Health team took an information stall to a We Are Undefeatable event at Blackburn Youth Zone on Thursday 26 March, where it unveiled the campaign’s new leaflet, branding and key messages.
Staff were there throughout the evening to answer questions and talk to residents about the work taking place across the borough to support older people.
The We Are Undefeatable event brought together community groups, activity providers and residents.
The Ageing Well campaign will run throughout the year, highlighting local support including social groups, learning opportunities, wellbeing activities, physical programmes, and help with bereavement, caring responsibilities, loneliness and changes in health.
