The production will visit Blackburn Empire Theatre on Wednesday 3 June 2026, giving local audiences the chance to experience the much-loved Liverpool comedy.
The show stars Crissy Rock, known for her role in Benidorm and her award-winning stand-up career, alongside a talented all-female cast including Lynne Fitzgerald, Lynn Francis and Samantha Alton.
Written and directed by Lynne Fitzgerald, Desperate Scousewives is part of an acclaimed series of plays, each focusing on one of its central characters. This latest production follows Lily’s story in a fast-paced and riotous comedy.
Set on a tight-knit Liverpool street, the show follows Susan, Vanessa and Lily – three strong-willed women with big personalities, big voices and even bigger secrets. Their world is turned upside down when Trisha, a single mum from Manchester, arrives and finds herself thrown into the middle of long-standing friendships and fierce loyalties.
The production has been a huge success in the Liverpool City Region, and is now being brought to audiences nationwide for the first time.
Producer Bill Elms said the show has been a hit with audiences and that he is excited to share it with theatre-goers across the UK.
With sharp humour, relatable characters and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, the show promises a fantastic night of live entertainment in Blackburn.
