Read all about it

A pair of young entrepreneurs from Blackburn are proving that big ideas can start small – and sometimes, very sweet.

Brothers Logan (13) and Barkley (9) have turned their sweets business Sweet Bros into a fast-growing local success, with their colourful pick ’n’ mix now available at the Blackburn Empire Theatre.

The business began during the summer holidays in 2025, when the brothers set out to create sweets that actually lived up to expectations – fizzy sweets with a proper kick, jellies that are soft and chewy, and flavours that stand out.

Since then, things have moved quickly. Sweet Bros has already worked with well-known names including Blackburn Rovers, and now the brothers have reached a new milestone by being stocked at one of the town’s best-loved venues.

The partnership was marked with a visit to the theatre, where they met Theatre Manager Kris Connell and saw their products on display.

Despite their young age, the brothers make a strong team. Logan brings a calm and focused approach to the business, while Barkley’s energy and personality help drive the brand forward.

Speaking about the opportunity, the pair said being stocked at the theatre “means everything”, especially as it’s somewhere they’ve been visiting to watch shows for years.

The move is another example of how local businesses – and young entrepreneurs in particular – are making their mark in Blackburn.

And for theatre-goers, it’s simple…

Next time you’re heading to the Empire, you can enjoy a bag of Sweet Bros sweets alongside the show.
