Formed in 1983, STAX of SOUL has captivated audiences across the UK with their dynamic brass section, smooth harmonies, and non-stop lineup of soul hits. Following a sold-out 40th Anniversary Tour in 2023, they continue to bring their love of soul music to new venues, and this October, they’re set to bring the magic back to Blackburn.

STAX of SOUL’s journey has been a remarkable one. While the band has seen lineup changes and even took a 6-year break, their passion for soul music has never waned. Many current members, including frontman Stuart Widdall, were there during the heyday at iconic venues like Martholme Grange, and they remain committed to delivering an unforgettable soul experience.
Reflecting on the band’s long-standing career, Stuart says, “The soul music we all love has kept us going, but we also feel it’s a great achievement to still be out there after 40 years. When we see the excitement of our audiences, and the enjoyment on their faces, we feel like we’d like to carry on for another 40 years. We still love what we’re doing and will always put on a brilliant show.”
