Somewhat appropriately, Angelos Epithemiou first shot to fame in Vic and Bob’s ‘Shooting Stars’. Drafted in to replace Johnny Vegas he soon developed a less than healthy obsession with Ulrika Jonsson. Wilfully weird and completely shambolic, Britain’s favourite Greek has gone form unemployment, to owning a burger van in Neasden, until it was wrecked by his brother.
Most definitely not afraid to punch straight through the fourth wall, Epithemiou has also turned up on Soccer AM, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Pointless Celebrities and Come Dine with Me where he served tinned soup then kicked out his guests. Angelos is the creation of British film and TV actor Dan Renton Skinner
“Daft brilliance” The Guardian “Wonderfully funny” Shropshire Star Best Comedy Breakthrough Artist The British Comedy Awards
Quite possibly the only half-Turkish, gay Geordie on the circuit, Louise Young has a solid reputation reputation for delivering formidable comedy clout.
Her laid back style, warmth and wonderfully crafted, razor sharp jokes have seen her becoming in great demand in the comedy clubs as well as hosting the BBC’s weekly Grin Up North Show. Louise regularly supports Jason Manford and Alan Carr on their UK tours.
Your compere for the evening is Hatty Preston and Carl Carzana takes the middle spot. The comedians you see at Darwen Comedy Club are booked by Comedy In A Van
