BFMA Events are proud to present the inaugural ElectroFest 1 – a multi-media event which utilises techniques combining text, sound, light, art, video and animation to communicate across the ‘electronic music-plus’ landscape.
It will feature live music by three bands:
SOME NOW ARE who have released singles and albums over the last 40 years on various labels. They have played numerous live events and have supported New Order, The Smiths and the Chameleons. They have also worked in and recorded at many iconic studios including CARGO, STRAWBERRY, SPIRIT and SUITE 16. They have also worked with several named producers including Peter Hook.
MY LITTLE UNIVERSE has recently returned to live shows, he will be performing tracks from his brilliant latest album Darwen along with some of his back catalogue of 80s-influenced synth based instrumental music.
THE JUNTA aka John “Monty” Montague began recording solo electronica in 2013, he also plays keyboards for the Manchester based band San Pedro Collective. THE JUNTA has released several EPs and albums on the German Shepherd label. John is a Salford City Radio DJ with his own weekly show.
There will be two album launches at ELECTROFEST 1. SOME NOW ARE will be launching their new album FACTORISATION. In addition the ELECTROFEST 1 compilation album will be launched featuring the music of SOME NOW ARE, MY LITTLE UNIVERSE and THE JUNTA.
ELECTROFEST 1 will feature videos, animations and digital artwork by Louis Collins, Tom Longworth, Marcel Buschek and Andrew Fishwick Mahon.
There will be an electronic music DJ set pre gig and an art exhibition of the performing bands music memorabilia.
Without doubt ELECTROFEST 1 will be the ‘electronic-plus’ multi-media event of the year.
