Blackburn Exchange announce Open Day to discover plans for historic building

Blackburn Exchange has announced plans for an Open Day on Tuesday 28th March 2023.

It follows the news that Re:Source, the charity behind the £9 million development of The Exchange, on King William Street, Blackburn has received £191,326 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for a project called Embracing the Past to Transform the Future.

Caer Butler, Director of Operations for The Exchange, said:

Our next open day is on Tuesday 28th March and would love you to pop in between noon and 1pm or later, between 6pm and 7pm to meet our architects, Buttress.

“The team will share their draft plans based on your aspirations and ideas for the future design of The Exchange, Blackburn.

“It’s our first event since we announced the fantastic news of our £192,000 grant from National Lottery Heritage Fund, so we can also tell you more about what’s coming up in the next 18 months for you to get involved in.

“Please come! We would love to hear your thoughts as The Exchange will be a building for the whole community.

“We look forward to seeing you!”

Blackburn Life has been running as a voluntary venture to support the borough and its community. We are always happy to discuss advertising and promotional packages for businesses to help cover our costs of running Blackburn Life.
