A few years ago, Gill Singh kindly lent her treasured Pub Files collection to “a nice man from Blackburn.” Since then, the files have vanished into the mists of time – and she’s now hoping to track them down and bring them home.
These files are more than just notes – they’re a piece of pub history! Each one covers a few counties, documenting beloved local pubs in detail. Gill still has her London file, but the rest are missing.
She doesn’t want to cause a fuss – she’s simply hoping someone might remember who borrowed them or might even still have them. If you can help reunite Gill with her files, even just to borrow or copy them, it would mean the world.
The photo shows the distinctive style and layout of the files, in case it jogs any memories.
If you have any leads – however small – please get in touch!
Let’s use the power of the Blackburn community to help a piece of pub history find its way home.
