Families across Blackburn with Darwen are being pointed towards a wide range of free and affordable activities this summer, with events and days out taking place across the borough.

Children aged 5 to 15 can also travel free on buses from 1 August until 31 August, which the council says will make it easier for families to get out and about over the holidays.

At Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery, families can explore collections, including the Egyptian gallery, and free exhibitions throughout the summer.

Blackburn with Darwen Libraries are also running free activities as part of the Summer Reading Challenge, alongside crafts, story times and family events.
