The funds will be used by the school, located close to Sunnybower Meadow, to purchase a brand new selection of books, aiming to inspire and invest in the next generation.
Louise Knowles, Assistant Head Teacher at Roe Lee Park Primary School, commented: “We are incredibly grateful to Bovis Homes for this generous Eid gift. Our school library is the heart of our learning community, and this £500 donation will allow us to refresh our shelves with a beautifully diverse range of books that reflect and inspire all our pupils. It is fantastic to see businesses like Bovis Homes investing so thoughtfully in the future of Blackburn’s children, and we can’t wait to see our students diving into their new reading materials.”
Zac Worthington, Operations Director at Vistry Merseyside and Cheshire West, commented: “Eid al-Adha is a time of charity, celebration and community spirit, so what better time to support an amazing local school. Libraries are key to young people’s development and sparking their imaginations, so we hope this donation brings plenty of joy to the pupils and enhances their library resources.”
