Blackburn Empire Theatre

A vibrant, volunteer-led community theatre known as “Lancashire’s liveliest little theatre,” previously the Thwaites Empire since its founding on the site in 1910 and reopened in 2002. It presents a wide-ranging programme—music, comedy, drama, tributes, family shows, and pantomimes—with accessible facilities, a friendly café and bar, plus community and youth engagement initiatives.
