Cathedral Carols by Candlelight returns to support NSPCC & Childline

The NSPCC / Childline Carols by Candlelight Concert was a sell out event last year with incredible reviews, and is back by popular demand. Although a challenging task, Janette Monroe’s aim is to exceed last year’s event and give the audience another night to remember. This year’s event takes place on Thursday 4th December at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available by calling 0844 8920253 and cost just £10 for Adults and Free for accompanied children.

International Soprano Janette Monroe, will also be performing on the evening. Janette has worked with artists as varied as Russell Watson and Joe Cocker and has worked with and performed for HRH Princess Diana. Janette, from Wigan, who is organizing the event is also a volunteer for the NSPCC/ChildLIne school service and the last concert she organized raised a staggering £34,000.

Also back by demand is 12 yr old Harry Gascoigne, who last year wowed the audience with his stunning voice and his renditions of “Mary did you know” and “All I want for Christmas”. Harry who joined us last year in between his lead performance  in the well-known stage musical  “Oliver” is very much in demand as he is currently rehearsing for “Dick Whittington”, “Joseph” and “The Wiz”

World Renowned Concert Pianist Julie Ann Carr will be playing again for us this year, and will also be our musical director for the evening. Julie has graced the world’s most prestigious stages not just as support for well-known artistes but also as a solo performer.
