Introduction

A DEPOSIT boost worth almost £17,000 could help homebuyers in Darwen to skip a rung on the property ladder.

Elan Homes is offering the valuable incentive on selected new homes at Tower Gardens, on Milking Lane.

Designed to increase buyers’ borrowing power by making their money go further, it could see people move sooner than anticipated or to a larger property than they thought they could buy.

Elan regional sales and marketing director Marie Morris explained: “People may think that it’s only first time buyers we offer to help with a deposit contribution, but that’s not the case. It could be particularly useful to those who perhaps bought a small property to get their feet on the housing ladder and are now looking to make the next step – or miss one entirely. A deposit boost could make a real difference. It could mean they’re able to make a long-term investment in their future by buying a family-sized home they can grow into rather than having to move again in a few years.”

Current availability at Tower Gardens includes two styles of four-bedroom detached homes.

A four-bedroom detached Alston is available from £314,995 with a £10,000 deposit boost. There’s also the chance to own a four-bedroom detached Southwold from £329,995, with a 5% deposit boost, worth £16,999.

Designed to go with the flow of family life, the Southwold is a generously proportioned family home. The lounge with feature bay window is at the front of the property. Double doors lead through from the lounge to the open plan kitchen and dining room, which in turn opens out to the rear garden. There’s also a utility and cloakroom on this level.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, one with en-suite, plus the family bathroom.

Homeowners could find that they’re able to speed up the selling and buying process as Elan will consider part exchange as an alternative to deposit boost. Essentially the homebuilder acts as a cash buyer for the customer’s home, enabling them to move quickly.

Located on Milking Lane, next to Lower Darwen Primary School, the homes at Tower Gardens are ideally placed for families.

There are plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors including Bold Venture Park and the moors surrounding Darwen Tower. Blackburn and Darwen are both around three miles away, putting a range of shops, bars and restaurants within easy reach.

The show home and sales centre at Tower Gardens are open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. For more information see https://www.elan-homes.co.uk/developments/tower-gardens.
