Young Palestinians Receive Warm Welcome in Blackburn

A group of young Palestinians from the West Bank were warmly welcomed by the Mayor of Blackburn when they visited Blackburn Town Hall on Monday.

The delegation, made up of seven teenagers aged between 13 and 16, were greeted by Mayor Cllr Brian Taylor during their visit to the historic 172-year-old Council Chambers. For many of them, this was their first experience traveling abroad.

The visit, part of a two-week goodwill trip to the UK, was facilitated by Youth Action and forms part of the Building Hope/Voices from Palestine project, led by the human rights charity CADFA.

Blackburn Life has been running as a voluntary venture to support the borough and its community. We are always happy to discuss advertising and promotional packages for businesses to help cover our costs of running Blackburn Life.

Blackburn Life will never charge you fees, levies or memberships to add your events, news, jobs and business listings.
