PureGym Blackburn Set to Relocate and Upgrade – New Site Opens This September

The popular gym, currently based inside The Mall shopping centre, will officially open its new doors at Nova Scotia Retail Park on Monday 2nd September 2025.

Located next to B&Q and Pets at Home, the new facility will be open 24/7 and will include free on-site parking for members.

The move brings a range of improvements and new zones, including:

• A women’s-only workout space
• A functional training zone
• A brand-new Shape area – a beginner-friendly strength section with lighter weights
• Over 160 pieces of equipment, including dumbbells up to 50kg and a wide selection of resistance machines

While the gym at The Mall remains open for now, work is well underway at the new location to deliver what PureGym describes as a “levelling up” of its Blackburn offer.

The gym will remain open around the clock, with members advised to review safety guidance if attending during unstaffed hours.
