Blackburn College has created the ultimate cure for the summer holiday blues.
With activities, which range from Glee style workshops, bushcraft and survival skills and sports, to art and cookery, Blackburn College has formulated Summer Slam 2011.
Corwynne Whitehead, School Liaison Coordinator, says: “After the novelty has worn off, the school holidays can be a nightmare for parents and children alike so we created summer Slam to get kids active, motivated and creative whilst making new friends.
“All of the activities have been designed to teach new skills, but above all we wanted the experience to be fun — it is the holidays after all.
“We know that kids can get bored over the summer, so we encourage all young people to come along to Blackburn College with friends to join in.”
Summer Slam 2011 will take place from Monday 8th — 19th August at Blackburn College.
