Blackburn’s Big Tribute Festival is back with Double the Fun

Witton Park in Blackburn looks set to have double the Festival Fun this year when Restricted Rocks returns for two packed days of live music.

The event, which first took place in 2019, saw a capacity crowd of 5,000 enjoy a full day line up and some of the biggest tribute acts in the world.

The 2020 Festival takes place on Bank Holiday Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May 2020 with two great themes: Indie and Rock on the Friday and a Family Pop Day on the Saturday.

The incredible line-up was announced earlier in the year and includes:

On Friday: Foo Fighters GB (Foo Fighters), QE2 (Queen), The Hot Red Chili Peppers (Red Hot Chili Peppers), The Oasis Experience (Oasis), The Guns N’ Roses Experience (Guns N’ Roses) and Kaiser Monkey Killers (The Killers / Arctic Monkeys / Kaiser Chiefs)

On Saturday: Ultimate Coldplay (Coldplay), ABBA Fever (ABBA), Badness (Madness), Electro 80s (Best of 80’s Electro), Little Chix (Little Mix), Ultra 90’s Fresh (Live 90’s Dance Anthems)

Each festival day is just £5 for adults (16+), £3.50 (Children age 4 – 15) and free for under 4 year olds.

Beyond the music, there will be lots of family fun including circus performers, extreme and children’s fairground rides, a food court, performers, merchandise and face painters.

Zander Lawrenson, one of the organisers of the event, said:

“Last year was a massive success and attracted people from all over the county, so this year we are taking advantage of the extra-long VE Celebration May weekend and bringing double the fun!

“Over a third of the tickets have already sold and that’s just after a few posts on social media, so it looks like it is going to be another great event for the town. Expect chorus chanting and crowd surfing mayhem.”

Festival goers are encouraged to buy their tickets now, as the event is likely to sell-out.
