Blackburn town centre will shine bright as the Christmas Lights Switch-On returns for 2025 with a full day of live entertainment, festive markets, and seasonal cheer.

Expect a packed programme of music, dance, and street performances, plus appearances from local schools, community groups, and special guests including singing sensation Darrell Smith and Blackburn Rovers legend David Dunn.

Visitors can explore a new undercover Christmas market in King William Street, open from Friday afternoon and throughout Saturday, featuring festive food, gifts, and crafts.

The day ends with a spectacular projection show on Blackburn Town Hall, lighting up the historic building as the town officially starts its Christmas countdown.

There’ll also be free family activities, fairground rides, and a special visit from Father Christmas.

Bring the family, wrap up warm, and enjoy one of Blackburn’s biggest festive events of the year!
