George’s Comedy Club

Fri 03 June @ 8:00 pm

Also introducing… Howard Walker!
Self confessed metal head proffering oodles of onstage warmth and dry wit.

Troy Hawke
Troy Hawke is an erudite homeschooled 1930’s throwback…the Errol Flynn of the high street. Educated, sophisticated, but utterly clueless. He tackles modern issues head on in his uniquely untimely manner. ‘undeniably funny’ (Chortle) ‘mad comic genius’ (The Scotsman) ‘Near perfect character comedy’ (The New Current)

Justin Moorhouse
Justin Moorhouse is an English stand-up comedian and radio DJ from Manchester. He appeared in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights and Looking for Eric. Moorhouse was a salesman for many years before contacting a comedy club and performing a stand-up comedy routine, aged 29. In 2002 he competed in a local comedy competition, winning the final held at the Comedy Store Manchester. Soon afterwards, he performed in a comedy tour, before getting the role of Young Kenny in Phoenix Nights.

Andy Robinson
Andy Robinson is widely regarded as one of the country top headline acts. He has been in the business well over 20 years and began his meteoric rise into comedy from a pub in Dudley where he sharpened his trade compering a ‘free and easy’ night every fortnight. The discipline of cracking funnies between bare-knuckle boxing and dogfights was an invaluable experience. Andy won Best Club Night in the Midlands in the 2015 Chortle Awards and was the winner of the Best Act and Best Compere at the Midlands Comedy Awards 2014. He has also worked as a warm-up artist for shows such as Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Shooting Stars, Later with Jools Holland, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross as well as dozens of others. Andy has been the support act for Sean Lock, Rich Hall and Paddy McGuiness. He is also known as comedy legend Jo Brand’s regular support act, and has worked with her for the past ten years.
