Free Swimming, Gym & Cycling Sessions return to Blackburn & Darwen

From April 1st the Council is investing in a 12 month programme of free leisure sessions across the borough.   This will start with the inclusion of a variety of activities including gym-based, swimming and cycling sessions.

Who can access?

RE:FRESH free leisure is available to anyone aged 16 or over who lives, works, has a GP or is in full time education in Blackburn with Darwen.

How to apply?

You can apply online or at one of the leisure centres.  Proof of eligibility must be shown when applying or on your first visit. Please note, when applying at site, new applications take 48 hours to be processed and discount will not be applied until card is collected.  You will be issued with a leisure card which must be shown on each visit to obtain free entry.  If you do not present your leisure card you will be required to pay the full price of the session.

If you have used RE:FRESH in the past and are not sure whether your card still works or you have lost your card, please visit a leisure centre with proof of eligibility.  Replacement cards are available to purchase for £3.

Blackburn Life has been running as a voluntary venture to support the borough and its community. We are always happy to discuss advertising and promotional packages for businesses to help cover our costs of running Blackburn Life.

Blackburn Life will never charge you fees, levies or memberships to add your events, news, jobs and business listings.
