Christmas from Blackburn Cathedral will be BBC highlight this year

The BBC have announced that their Christmas Services on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be broadcast from Blackburn Cathedral.

Members of the public are invited to join in the services which will take place at 11:45pm on Christmas Eve and 10am on Christmas Day.

Speaking about the news, the Dean of Blackburn, The Very Reverend Peter Howell-Jones, said:

This is a tremendous privilege for us to be able to welcome millions of people from across the world to worship with us as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. 

The finer details of each service are still being finalised and more information will be available in the weeks to come but it is “a great opportunity to invite family, friends and neighbours.”
