Winter can be a very difficult time for older people with the shorter colder days making it harder to get out and easier to be isolated at home. Age UK Blackburn With Darwen receives an increasing number of requests for help and support from older people at this time and as a local independent charity needs to raise funds in order to meet those requests.
Age UK are asking people to hold a soup social fundraiser this winter time to benefit their local charity. It’s simple, you make delicious home-made soup, add crusty bread, invite your friends and ask them to make a donation for their bowl. You can do this at home or in the workplace and all monies raised support Age UK’s services for older people in Blackburn with Darwen.
