Experience a Day of Musical Delight at Blackburn Cathedral

Blackburn Cathedral has announced an enchanting musical event that is set to mesmerise attendees with a day of Cathedral Music, Talks & Performance Opportunities.

The Cathedral will provide the backdrop for a day of Cathedral Music, culminating in a unique chance to join the Cathedral Choir in singing Evensong.

The day starts at 10:30 am with the Cathedral Eucharist followed by:

12.00pm Coffee after the service, with registration.

12.30pm Lunch in Checks and Greys, the Cathedral restaurant.

1.30pm Talk from Director of Music John Robinson, and Organist in Residence John Hosking. This entertaining session will include John Hosking being interviewed by John Robinson including talking about improvisation. John Hosking already has an enthusiastic following on YouTube from his improvisations on Hauptwerk. 

2.30pm Short break.

2.40pm Divide into choir parts for warm up with John Robinson. 

3.00pm Full rehearsal with the Cathedral Choir. 

4.00pm Evensong sung by attendees with the Cathedral Choir. 

4.45pm Tea and cake and short presentation from Cathedral Music Trust.
