Two local theatres are keeping us entertained, even while the doors are closed.
King George’s Hall and Darwen Library Theatre are launching a new initiative to keep us entertained until singers, bands and performers can return to the stage. Blackburn & Darwen Lockdown Live launches this Sunday.
If you have honed a new or existing talent during lockdown which you would be willing to share online then read on! This is your opportunity to join in and perform in the Blackburn & Darwen Lockdown Live.
We want to see everything creative you have been doing during lockdown, so whatever your talent, you can star in a Lockdown Live gig. Singers, performers, bands, dancers, comedians, choirs, impressionists…in fact, anything from circus skills to poetry & storytelling.
The first “Lockdown Live” gig will take place this Sunday on Facebook at 8pm with a range of local bands who are sharing their lockdown performances. The first event features performances by The Boutiques, Teri Birtwistle, QueenEsque, Tiny Echoes & Paul Tierney.
How to Take Part in Lockdown Live
Record your video content (landscape please) and send it by email to lockdownlive@whatsonblackburn.com. You can also send existing online content by emailing the links. Content should be between 1 minute and 5 minutes long and should include a whole performance. Make sure you keep in clean too…no content with bad language!
By emailing content you are agreeing that it can be used in a Lockdown Live gig, so please make sure you have permission to send any of the content too. Not all content will be used.
Star with a Star
We’re talking to artists with connections to our venues, so you could even find yourself sharing our virtual stage with your idols too.
