The Mall Blackburn is starting the summer in style while raising money for charity with its One Great Day celebrations!
It will join 200 shopping centres across the UK for the annual charity and fundraising event in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital and other local charities, with The Mall donating 50 per cent to the children’s support services at its 2019 beneficiary the East Lancashire Hospice.
Starting at 8.00am on Monday 22nd July with a quiet hour for people with additional needs, the event will run through to 2.00pm and The Mall’s Victoria Court with be transformed into fun central!
Giant games, craft activities, glitter tattoos and much more will keep the kids entertained with prizes including lollies and stickers on offer.
It will kick start the summer holiday celebrations at The Mall and also mark the first day of Erin’s Place being open every day until September 1st.
Activities will include pottery painting, teddy bear making, pebble monsters, finger puppets, slime making, flower fairies and much more!
The shop will also sell a range locally made ‘By Erin’ products and they will be holding adult workshops for people who want to learn how to use Frenchic furniture paint.
Free sessions will be held daily and will cover scratch art, paper plate craft, colouring and much more.
Pottery painting is also available every day with prices starting from just £4.95 and teddy bear making starts from £10.95.
In addition, daily workshops will be held for little shoppers to make magical wands, slime and flower fairies.
A percentage of all the proceeds from Erin’s Place will be donated to The Mall’s charity of the year East Lancashire Hospice.
The Mall is also finalising plans for its Active August activities, which will be launched soon.
