You Need to See Bootleg Blondie One Way or Another at Darwen Library Theatre

This April, Bootleg Blondie, the official Debbie Harry and Blondie tribute band and the only Blondie tribute to play the legendary CBGBs club in New York City, head to Darwen!

Lead vocalist, Debbie Harris, has appeared on two shows for BBC One when she was picked out of 15,000 applicants to represent Debbie Harry on Even Better Than The Real Thing hosted by Paddy McGuinness.

Debbie Harris has the looks, the voice and the attitude of the original Blondie bombshell, and like her heroine, she is typically outrageous on stage, having been known to wear dustbin liners, thigh length boots and t-shirts with more holes than t-shirt!

Debbie and the boys have met the real Blondie and are officially endorsed by the band. Debbie Harry contacted the group in 2006 to wish them luck when she heard they were playing CBGB’s in New York City.

When Clem Burke, Blondie’s charismatic drummer, learned Bootleg Blondie were making a replica of his Premier drum kit, he arranged a meet up to sign the Bootleg’s bass drum skin.

Debbie and Bootleg Blondie have played the Isle of Wight Festival, The 100 Club, The Electric Ballroom in London, and Eric’s in Liverpool. Having opened for, amongst others, Tony Hadley and David Essex, they have built up their reputation and fan base, headlining their own tours and can be seen at all the major venues and festivals around the UK and Europe.
