God’s Grandeur – Choral Concert

Celebrating the poetry of Gerard Manley Hopkins in music.  One of Lancashire’s leading chamber choirs, Blackburn Chamber Choir, based at Blackburn Cathedral, is performing musical settings of some of Hopkins’ well-loved poems alongside readings of his works and other linked pieces.  The concert includes the rarely performed setting of 7 poems by Britten ‘Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam’ and the Uk premiere of ‘As Kingfishers Catch Fire’ by Philip Moore.
