Read all about it

Whether you’re dodging potholes, cycling to work, catching a bus or just out for a stroll — the council wants your honest feedback on how it’s all working (or not!).

What’s It All About?

The annual National Highways and Transport Surveys are back, giving locals a chance to share their views on everything from footpaths to public transport.

This year, six different surveys have been released covering:

  • 🚌 Public Transport
  • 🚴 Walking & Cycling
  • 🛣 Highway Maintenance
  • 🚦 Road Safety
  • ♿ Accessibility
  • 🚗 Tackling Congestion

The results will help the council understand what’s working and what needs attention — especially as new government funding for highways improvements is coming down the line.

Your Voice Matters

Councillor Quesir Mahmood, Executive Member for Growth and Development, said:

“It’s incredibly important for us to hear your opinions to allow us to consider them when making key decisions around highway improvements.
With new government funding announced recently… we can understand where residents believe the improvements are needed to help benefit their daily lives.”

How to Take Part

📬 Around 3,300 randomly selected residents will receive the survey through the post — but everyone in Blackburn with Darwen can take part online.

💻 Take the survey here: www.blackburn.gov.uk
🗓 Deadline: Tuesday 30 September
🔐 Responses are completely anonymous.
