Snow White smashes records at Blackburn Empire – and panto season has only just begun

Introduction

Panto season is back in Blackburn with a bang as Snow White opens at Blackburn Empire Theatre – and it is already a record-breaking year.

Read all about it

The brand new production from Tom Rolfe Productions has become the Empire’s biggest panto run ever, with over 70 shows in the diary. Before the first “he’s behind you!” was shouted, Snow White had already clocked up more sold-out performances than any previous panto at the venue.

Every show from opening night up to Christmas Day is now almost all sold out, and dates between Christmas and New Year are filling up fast, with many performances on their last few tickets.

Audiences are loving the classic fairy tale given the full Blackburn treatment – a wickedly funny Queen Horibella, a sparkling Snow White, a hard-working Magnificent Seven and all the songs, silliness and slapstick that make a family panto feel like Christmas. Behind the scenes, the Empire’s volunteer team and staff are once again at the heart of it all, welcoming thousands of people from across the borough and beyond.

If Snow White is on your festive wish list this year, do not leave it too late. With so many performances already sold out, remaining tickets are expected to disappear quickly.

Check the latest availability and book your seats now to be part of Blackburn’s biggest panto year yet.
