Strange But True Crime Night Coming to Blackburn

Introduction

True crime fans are in for a fascinating evening this March as Strange, But True Crime arrives at the Blackburn Empire Theatre.

Read all about it

Taking place on Wednesday 11 March 2026, the show is presented by former forensics lecturer Jennifer Rees, who explores some of the most bizarre and unbelievable criminal cases from around the world.

Jennifer previously toured the hit theatre show The Psychology of Serial Killers, which sold out venues across the UK and Ireland. Her new show delves into stories that seem almost too strange to be true – including a serial killer who found work in law enforcement while on the run, criminals who were recognised after appearing on game shows, and the unsettling case of a balloon-carrying killer clown.

Combining fascinating storytelling with insights from her background in forensic science, the show offers a unique look into the psychology and circumstances behind some of history’s strangest crimes.
