Silhouettes of soldiers appearing across Blackburn Town Centre

Introduction

Read all about it

Blackburn Life are grateful to Blackburn Town Centre businesses who are supporting our campaign to raise the profile of the Poppy Appeal in the town.

The silhouette images of a soldier wearing a poppy are accompanied by individual names of local soldiers who died in the First World War.

This year the Poppy Appeal is aiming to raise over £50 million to help support serving and ex-serving members of the Armed Forces community and their families.

We would like to thank the businesses who have helped to create the posters free of charge and the businesses who have already supported the campaign including Hartlands The Grapes The Drummer’s Arms The Rock Box Blackburn The Times Bar Blackburn Shhbar The Mall, Blackburn Square Cactus Ginger Muffin

Any businesses who can display one of these externally and would like to take part are asked to message Blackburn Life on Facebook or email mynews@blackburnlife.com
