THE RESTAURANT AND BAR IS REOPENING WITH NEW DISHES AND THE RETURN OF BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH
RECRUITING FOR TEAM MEMBERS NOW
THERE’S NEW DISHES ON THE MENU TOO
Turtle Bay Blackburn is getting ready to welcome guests back from the 24th September.
Following a period of closure during the pandemic, the Caribbean and restaurant and bar on Cathedral Square is getting ready to welcome Caribbean good times back to Blackburn and is also on the hunt for people to join the team with a range of positions available both front and back of house. A special ‘Audition Day’ will be taking place on 10th and 11th August so anyone who wants to become part of an exciting new team and learn everything there is to know about rum, reggae and jerk should get in touch with the recruitment team – firstname.lastname@example.org
Of course the return of Turtle Bay means the return of the famous happy hour, bottomless brunch and late night experience too, PLUS there’s a host of new dishes on the menu as the restaurant serves up Caribbean sunshine from breakfast through to the small hours.
Brand new dishes coming to Blackburn include the new Jerk Chicken Alfredo… A Caribbean twist on a classic where linguine pasta is paired with a mildly-spiced creamy sauce, jerk chicken and mushrooms for a comforting new fusion dish with a kick.
The Bay’s beautiful homemade roti bread is grilled and topped with melted cheddar, fresh chilli, rocket, garlic butter and pickled pink onions to create the new Chilli Cheese Roti. It’s the side dish of dreams and the perfect late night snack or lunch time treat.
The Caribbean Curry Katsu is a fantastic fusion of Japanese and Caribbean flavours, made with crispy chicken breast, scotch bonnet spiced coconut milk sauce and coconut rice & peas.
Turtle Bay’s famous Bottomless Brunch will be making its return to Blackburn this September too. Running every single day from 10am to last sittings at 3pm (5pm on Sundays), it’s a two-hour long Caribbean cocktail and brunching experience – a sunshine-filled catch up event like no other including unlimited tropical cocktails, mocktails, Red Stripe or prosecco all to a soundtrack of laid back reggae beats. Bottomless brunch includes any brunch dish – from Big Kingston Grill Down (the Bay’s Caribbean twist on a full English), to the Vegan Yardbird all for £28.50 per person. It can be upgraded to include any main course dish for £32.30.
Turtle Bay’s all day food menu boasts a wide selection of Carribean soul food and grazing options from their island-inspired breakfast dishes (served up from 10am) to the Jerk Pit BBQ; comforting curries to clean-eating inspired Buddha Bowls; plus an excellent range of burgers, small plates and sides.
Late nights are back at Blackburn Bay too with the return of the Late Happy Hour – all of Turtle Bay’s gorgeous tropical cocktails will be available as 241 from 9:30pm Sunday – Thursday and 10pm Friday and Saturday right up until close.
Plus for those that prefer to stick to an earlier start the Blackburn Bay’s Happy Hour kicks off at 10am and runs until 7pm. Bookings will be open soon. In the meantime, Turtle Bay fans should sign up to the mailing list so that they can be the first in line when bookings are open. PLUS everyone who signs up to the mailing list (link – https://www.turtlebay.co.uk/subscribe?subscribe=Sign+up) between now and the end of August will be in with a chance of winning at table at the VIP opening event to welcome the reopening in true Turtle Bay style.
